E-TICKET

E-tickets will be sent out 1 week before your travel date. Your e-ticket will be used to check in for your flight as well as provide information on your flight schedule, check-in time, baggage allowances, and restrictions on liquids (this ticket is not a boarding pass).

AUSTRALIAN TRAVEL DECLARATION

You are required to submit an Australian Travel Declaration at least 72 hours before your departure flight for Australia. The Australia Travel Declaration collects your contact details in Australia, flight details, quarantine requirements and your health status. This information helps the Australian Government to determine your quarantine arrangements and allows the relevant health departments to contact you if someone you have travelled with tests positive for COVID-19. If you do not complete the declaration, you may not be able to board your flight, or you may experience delays when you arrive in Australia.

Once you’ve completed the Australia Travel Declaration, you will receive an email confirmation with details you can show (either electronically or printed) before you board your flight and on arrival in Australia.

Your email will have either a:
green response (with a tick), if you do not need to quarantine on arrival. This is based on your declaration that you are travelling to Australia from a country in Australia’s safe travel zone
blue response (with an hourglass), if you need to quarantine on arrival
red response (with a cross), your airline will decide if you can travel. If you are allowed to travel to Australia, you will need to quarantine on arrival.

COVID-19 PCR TEST

All students must take a COVID-19 96 hours and 72 hours before their scheduled departure.

96 Hours - Students are requested to take a COVID-19 test approximately 96 hours before their scheduled flight departure. Please note that this test does not need to be a PCR test and can be a self-administered test, or a test taken at your local testing facility.

If you receive a positive COVID result you will be unable to travel and will need to contact the FCM Travel Team immediately, this will allow your seat to be resold to another student. Please refer to the FAQs page of the cancellation policy.

72 Hours - A negative COVID-19 Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) test result is required for travel to Australia. Evidence of a negative COVID-19 PCR test taken 72 hours before your flight’s scheduled departure must be provided to your airline when you check in.

If your flight is delayed, you will still be considered to have met the pre-departure testing requirements. You will not need a new test.

Please refer to the Australian Department of Health website for information on what must be shown in your COVID-19 PCR laboratory test result record, the preferred format for your test result record, what to do in the event of a positive or inconclusive test and what to do if you are a primary close contact of someone who has tested positive to COVID-19.

Your airline or local health authority can provide you with a list of recognised clinics, hospitals, or testing centres where you can get tested.
